Edito Maison et Objet show in Paris 2012 The Trendy marriage

Dear Fellow,

Please find attached a major update of my 2012 selection of antiques shows for trade in France & Europe.
Obviously, we selected the 3 glorious BtoB shows of Beziers /Avignon/ Montpellier, 5 times a year, in the South starting at 8am and finishing at 1pm for our speedy professional buyers.  In addition of these selected shows in the French Provinces, I will be happy to assist you also in our Paris Saint-Ouen flea market, the biggest flea market in the word, with its 14 kilometres of windows full of treasures at a level of price very attractive due to the crisis effect on our business.
Please read also my “edito” below about the trends and tendencies of our market.
See you soon.
Fondly.

January 2012 is devoted to the “retro chic” with many vintage and period items giving a comfortable authenticity and allowing everybody to customize their interior.
Maison & Objet 2012 is dedicated to selected “Treasures”, mainly :

-material treasures, such as terracotta, cement,
-authentic treasures, such as antiquities, period, vintage or repro,
-texture & technical treasures, such as silk and fabrics,
-treasures of nature & freshness, such as plants and flowers,
-treasures of cheerfulness & creativity, such as coloured trays and cushions,

-treasures of simplicity & lightness, such as this white bedroom with a Japan décor,
-treasures of softness & comfort, with many vintages items,
-treasures of elegance & preciousness, with splendid private collections,
-treasures of luxury & refinement, with delicate coloured and golden material,

As per the above print and report  published in the Figaro Magazine of last January 10th 2009 and as confirmed by most of famous interior-designers, antique dealers and auctioneers, the current trend and French touch is to associate authentic antique furniture with modern art and design.
That is a delicate approach for which the following advises are given :

The trend is no more longer in the cohesion of a same style like it was for the previous generations, it is now too formal for our actual expectations. We need to reflect our personality through our home decor. We are not from the past but from now, so therefore we  are influenced by the modernity and like to integrate nice pieces of modern art with our old family furniture and fine art reflecting our own roots and history but also our attractions for the current art and the actual comfort as well.
